Author bio Nick Mistretta spent his 30th birthday at work. Delivering pizzas. At 31 he went back to school and got a BA in journalism. He immediately left for India, backpacked around the world for one year (the basis for Vagabond Zoo) then spent the next eight bouncing around Asia. Teaching English to travel, with more time spent on the latter. Currently he’s back in the States and working as a tour guide in Skagway, Alaska
